INTRECCI #2. MA*GA and Missoni for art and education
Exhibition opening and presentation of the review
The looms and 16 most significant fabrics made by over 400 students during an entire year of educational activity will be set up in the Conference Room to celebrate the renewed success of INTRECCI, an educational project supported by MA*GA Museum, the Maison Missoni and the Ottavio Foundation and Rosita Missoni, which aims to offer young students a series of theoretical and practical courses on colour, matter and textile structures.
This year's activities are mainly focused on the link among design, color and composition through which the students are guided by the specialized staff of the Education Department. The students take their inspiration from the works of the Ottavio Missoni Tapestry Room, the permanent collection of the museum and the exhibition Andy Warhol. Serial Identity, in particular focusing on aspects such as geometric composition, chromatic rhythms and color characteristics, elements that are the roots of the history of MA*GA and the Maison.
