INTRECCI #4
MA*GA and MISSONI for Art and Education
The project is conceived and supported by the MA*GA Museum, Maison Missoni, Fondazione Ottavio e Rosita Missoni and the Missoni Archives and offers students, teachers and the Museum's public theoretical and practical paths on the language of textiles. Students, faculty and the entire Museum public have the opportunity to get closer to the textile world by discovering the creative universe of Maison Missoni by immersing themselves in the Ottavio Missoni Tapestry Room. Reflection on the multiple languages of visual art is inspired, for the first part of the year, by the permanent collection, thanks to the important display of works tracing the history of the 75th anniversary of the Gallarate Prize, while from November it focuses on the major exhibition dedicated to Kandinsky and his legacy in Italian abstract painting.

Participants, in the beautiful setting of the Ottavio Missoni Tapestry Room, can experiment with the use of small table looms by choosing from the many yarns made available by Maison Missoni and combining materials and colors. Warps and wefts give life to colorful fabrics that can be taken home.
